Sid is a young emerging artist who projects his emotions into paintings and examines the basis of those feelings. To the artist, painting is not only a method of expressing himself but also a medium to explore and understand the essence of his surroundings. Instead of illustrating a certain thought or sentiment, the artist’s works are intended to provide the viewers with a new perspective of their surroundings.

The artist believes each person, object, and space possess unique characteristics. When viewing a subject, Sid aims to exclude any bias and attempts to not label it with a specific meaning. Instead, the artist focuses on its distinctive and intrinsic qualities and conveys them in his own voice to deliver an original view of the subject to the audience.

Sid’s most renowned series The Forest is an abstract representation of the countless forests the artist sees, hears, and envisions. Within his works live existent forests around the world as well as the more comprehensive images that embody seasonal changes. The forests may be inspired by abstract representations found in music and literature or the artist’s state of mind. Through the combination of repeated and rhythmical brushstrokes and the intricate expressions of complementary or monochromatic colors, Sid creates endless variations of a concrete and yet an abstract concept of forests.

Sid has participated in 313 Art Project’s SBD Project – A View as well as various group exhibitions and art fairs all around the world.
