Artist Ha Tae-Im was born in Seoul, and graduated from Ecole Nationale des Beaux-Arts de Dijon, Dijon, France. After her return from Paris, she obtained Ph.D of Fine Art in Fine Arts, Hongik University, Seoul. She had 28 major solo exhibitions around Seoul, Paris, Beijing, Munich, to name a few. She also participated in various domestic and overseas group exhibitions.

Ha Tae-Im’s works are distinctive in that the surface is clear and bright even after a great number of brushstrokes of overlapped colour bands. Her works are an expression that shows a rhythmical-formal language as a verse of music based on her original oeuvre.

The artist was awarded with the 33e Prix International d’Art Contemporain de Monte-Carlo Hommage à CESAR (Prix de la ville de MONACO) in 1999. Her works are collected in numerous museums and institutions including Seoul Museum Of Art, Samsung Electronics Co. and Seoul Family Administrative Court.

하태임은 서울에서 태어나 프랑스 파리 국립미술학교를 졸업하였으며, 귀국 후 홍익대학교에서 박사학위를 받았다. 서울, 파리, 베이징, 뮌헨 등 국내외에서 총 28회의 개인전을 가졌고 250여회의 단체전에 참가했다.

그녀의 작품은 수많은 색띠들이 중첩되어 맑고 화사한 화면을 구성하고 있는 것이 특징이며, 마치 음악의 한 소절을 보는 듯한 리듬감 넘치는 조형언어를 바탕으로 독창적인 작품세계를 펼치고 있다. 1999년 모나코 국제 현대 회화전에서 모나코 왕국상을 수상한 바 있으며, 서울시립미술관, 삼성전자, 서울가정행정법원 등에 작품이 소장되어 있다.
