313 ART PROJECT opened its Seoul space in 2010 and established its Paris location in 2019, exploring the currents of contemporary art through a multifaceted perspective that bridges Korea and Europe. The gallery curates exhibitions without confining itself to specific regions or generations, focusing instead on the social and cultural contexts in which artists’ works are formed and their aesthetic practices.
313 has introduced internationally established artists such as Daniel Buren, Sophie Calle, and Friedrich Kunath to Korea through their first solo exhibitions in the country, presenting new points of connection between their artistic languages and the Korean art scene. These presentations extend beyond simple introduction, encompassing questions about how works generated from different cultural soils produce new interpretations and discourses.
Simultaneously, by organizing the first Paris solo exhibitions of Korean artists such as Lee Kun-Yong, Woo Kukwon, and Je Yeoran, 313 has introduced the historical layers and contemporary practices of Korean modern art to European collectors, institutions, and critics.
Through this process, 313 focuses on positioning individual artists’ narratives within international discourse.
Moreover, by organizing collaborative projects with global corporations, the gallery supports young Korean artists in experimenting with and expanding their work in new environments outside the institutional framework. Through public art projects, 313 continually explores how art intersects with everyday spaces and the possibilities of engaging with broader audiences.
313 ART PROJECT views exhibitions not as singular outcomes but as ongoing processes and platforms for dialogue. Through long-term artist research and international exchange, the gallery remains committed to exploring the complex terrain of contemporary art.

313 아트프로젝트는 2010년 서울, 2019년 파리에 공간을 개관하며 동시대 미술의 흐름을 한국과 유럽을 잇는 복합적 시선으로 탐구해 왔습니다. 갤러리는 특정 지역이나 세대에 국한되지 않고, 작가의 작업이 형성되는 사회·문화적 맥락과 그 미학적 실천에 주목하며 전시를 기획합니다. 313은 Daniel Buren, Sophie Calle, Friedrich Kunath 등 국제적으로 확립된 작가들의 첫 한국 개인전을 통해, 이들의 작업 언어가 한국 미술계와 새롭게 접속되는 지점을 제시해 왔습니다.
이는 단순한 소개를 넘어, 서로 다른 문화적 토양에서 생성된 작업이 어떻게 새로운 해석과 담론을 생산하는가에 대한 질문을 포함합니다.
동시에 Lee Kun-Yong, Woo Kukwon, Je Yeo Ran 등 한국 작가들의 첫 파리 개인전을 기획하며, 유럽의 컬렉터와 기관, 비평가들에게 한국 현대미술의 역사적 층위와 동시대적 실천을 소개하였습니다. 이 과정을 통해, 313은 작가 개인의 서사를 국제적 담론 속에 위치시키는 데 집중합니다.
또한, 글로벌 기업과의 협업 프로젝트를 기획하여, 젊은 한국 작가들이 제도권 밖의 새로운 환경에서 작업을 실험하고 확장할 수 있도록 지원하고 있으며, 공공미술 프로젝트를 통해 예술이 일상의 공간과 만나는 방식, 그리고 대중과 소통하는 가능성을 지속적으로 모색하고 있습니다.
313 아트프로젝트는 전시를 하나의 결과가 아닌 과정이자 대화의 장으로 인식하며, 장기적인 작가 리서치와 국제적 교류를 통해 동시대 미술의 복합적인 지형을 사유하고자 하는 노력을 계속할 것입니다.
